A540 vs A700

Hi, I've seen these new cameras, and they are nice

The main difference is the optical zoom 4x for the A540 and 6x for the A700, but there are other differences?

The LCD on the A700 has more pixels so it's better. Other than that and the zoom, those are the only major diffs I know of. There is a comparison of specs at the bottom of this link:

One thing to consider if you're a diver, the A540 has an underwater scene setting and an underwater housing available, whereas the A700 does not. Given the choice of an underwater housing and setting instead of a 6x zoom, the A540 works for me as a diver. Especially since I've got an old Panasonic DMC FZ-10 with the long lens for telephoto shots.
