Well I am having one heck of a time trying to decide between these two cameras. This will really be my first digital camera, I have used many assorted digital cameras and did black and white photography in high school. There is nothing in particular I will be shooting, just a lot of shooting. I want something that fits in my pocket and looks cool and the Casio seems to win on this, as well as battery life for my many pictures. Picture quality is a concern and the Canon apparently has better picture quality, though I am worried I might be over analyzing the situation and that either camera will perform beyond my expectations in terms of picture quality. At first I will prolly just pull it out of my pocket and shoot with the automatic features, but with time I may want to fine tune my shooting. Are the Casio's manual features that much better?
Really it seems like both cameras will be fantastic, but I guess the fun of research is over analyzing every little detail.:D

I would love to hear from those people out there that might have an idea one way or another. My friend has the Casio and I was almost sold on the spot, but then I decided to do some research and it has brought me here, thank you for your help.

I've not read any reviews about the casio range of cameras but all I can say is that if I needed a calculator I would look at a the casio range first
