I got a Digital Elf for Christmas. PowerShot SD 400
I admit that I dropped it. I didn't notice anything wrong other than the button to take pictures had fallen, but I put that back on.
Well, I can see all the pictures that I previously took in play back mode. But if I try to switch over to camera mode (or even turn on the camera in camera mode) The screen goes black. it makes a series of (3?) beeps, shows the picture I last took and turns off. I do not see this dreaded error thing appear. I didn't even notice the lens was stuck until I looked more closely. It's not extended very far, but the lens cover isn't closed either.
I really loved the camera. I just want it fixed, but was wondering if I really should send it in to Canon or if there is some other way to go about it.
I did try to tap it a little, but that did nothing. I also tried to pull it while it was making the beeping noise before it turned off completely.
Any advice would be appreciated.
