Message Status Problems

In Mozilla Firefox 0.9.2, the posting of a new message while I am logged in causes all messages to change to "read" status. Any way to fix this?

I think Firefox can be a bit strange. Internet Explorer 6 tells me there are unread messages when they've all been read.

I logged in with Firefox and it told me they have all been read - without reading any or posting any.

I think what we have here is a javascript problem.
