Finepix E900 - Help! ..Lines on my photos!!

I have a fujifilm finepix e900, and every picture that I take comes out with these lines on it. I've read and re-read the users manual but it says nothing about this problem. Now I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong, or if the camera is damaged.

I'm thinking there's something wrong with your camera, but can you tell us if you notice the lines in full-resolution pictures? I just want to be sure that the lines aren't caused by reducing the picture size.

Nope, every resolution has the same problem. I've been researching this and came up with something called "banding".. From what I've read it says it has to do with the setting of the shutter speed and ISO. I'm still learning all this and how to use the camera, so I hope it doesn't mean that it's broke.

I read somewhere that there is a recal on some fugi cameras with symptoms similar to what you mention. Also another symptom is a rainbow effect or something like that. Only some cameras are affected, and the fix is supposed to be free... Sorry, I don't have a link to post or such.. I read this in passing and don't know where. The fugi website should have something on this...
