Canon Power Shot overexposed!

Canon Powershot S400 take blown out outdoor pictures

My canon S400 take washout (way overexposed picture) on sunny days either in automatic or manual mode even with a -2 ev compensation. However, indoor with flash work perfectly indoor. I can't find any similar problem on the web, is this a new problem? Please help!

I have no Idea what to do.

Can you post a picture taken in 640X480 (lowest setting) so i can look at it? dont use any software to alter the image (photoshop, paint) it needs to be posted right from the camera.
