Nikon TC-E17ED Teleconverter lens on FZ20 & FZ30?

Hello All.

I ordered an OEM 1.5 Tele. Was notified Monday they did not know if or when they could deliver the item-if at all. I told them to cancel the order and apply the total amount back to my credit card.

After talking here and photo.net, and doing a bit of research, I decided I would purchase the Nikon TC-17 tele for my FZ20.

Question(s): what adapter should I purchase for the Nikon to fit my FZ20?
Or does the proper adapter come with the lens?
And will the same adapter fit an FZ30?

If I remember correctly this lens has a 60mm mount and most third party adapters are 62mm.

No these adapter will not fit on the FZ30 it has 55mm threads and will require a 55-60mm step-up ring.

The adapter should be sold with the camera it will raise the resale value.

The TCON 17 has a 55mm ring.

To connect it the the FZ-20 you will need a 72-55mm step down adaptor. Go to B&H photo and get one for $10.

Lovelifes info is correct the Nikon TC-E17ED has 60mm threads.

Ilan is confusing two different teleconverters. Or perhaps I am...
