What ever you do, do not buy the above. All of their camera's are disposable. They do not make parts for them, and if they break, they will only exchange your camera. You have to pay the difference. In other words, you get ripppped off.
They fail to tell us the consumer that when you buy.

I had a HP a few years back. First digi I owned. It was crap. Broke in less the a year. It wasn't expensive - maybe $125 so I wasn't that upset about it, except for the fact I was on vacation at the time. I called there customer service - got someone in India *sigh* and then called my friend who works for HP to see if there was a # to call where I'd be able to speak with someone in English. Even she didn't know! Ran to a Walmart and bought a cheaper ($99) HP - didn't even have an optical zoom - just so I'd have some pics from our vacation. I ended up giving to my 11 year old. After that, I wised up and bought the S2 IS last summer. I'm thrilled with the camera and it's been worth every penny.

There is a guy i found on e-bay searching for parts for some canon cameras his name is "darntoothysam" he does camera repair and is CHEAP! i got a sony S75 fixed for $40. he replaced the whole mainboard or somthing and the price included shipping. It was like a whole new camera when i got it back.
I think hes been fixing cameras for about 2 years and has a bunch of parts and extra cameras so when he figures out the problem he just swaps out the parts from the working section.
I think mine had a powersupply problem or somthing. It came on but the pictures were just black with purple lines.
Depending on whats wrong with them im sure they can be fixed. If not there are other people that buy broken cameras on e-bay and give decent prices for them.

So, I guess this begs the question: "why didn't you send him your tele-converter to sort out"?

Ed, I bet it's because Bower just wants to do it himself, and because the guys works on cameras doesn't mean he'll work on lenses. Oh and I forgot again about this post and just bought a second refirb'd KODAK DX6490. Got it right from KODAK just as the last one. Warranty just as if it were a new unit. With any luck it will be in new unmakered condition like the last one. These are going to make great KODAK moments for my Son and Daughter. So anyway CopWad I'll try from this point on to never buy KODAK again. Don't be mad at me.
