Come on, we need to have an aircraft/airshow sticky. I will start.
All pics taken with a Canon A75, The airshows that the pics are from are the 2005 Westfield airshow MA August and the 2005 Kingstown RI airshow in June.
Can't wait for the shows this year.

crisp...vivid...sharp...and a good eye for action. I especially like the 4th pic on your first post of this thread where you catch the sonic boom (cloud looking matter) of the jet crossing the speed of sound. Well done.

Thanks, I love live action pics and think if you can take a good pic of a plane going 600mph then you can take a pic of anything. Just for your information being a pilot myself, at airshows it is forbidden to cross the speed of sound. If a pilot does cross the speed of sound he will be grounded but you are some what right. As the aircraft approaches the speed of sound it will create what is called a compression cloud around the aircraft and that is what you see in my pic.

Very nice photos scupking, it always gives me that warm fuzzy feeling seeing the Snowbirds since they are from my hometown in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Canada... I used to be with the Moose Jaw Fire Dept. and our station responded to 15 Wing just south of the city. Again, very nice shots... ;)

Snowbird has a whole different meaning here abouts. Nothing bad, just different.;)

Thanks bullitt, It was a rare occurrence to see the snowbirds and the Blue Angels fly at the same show. This year it will just be the Blue Angels but I can't wait seeing as I just ordered a Canon S2 IS. I do have to say I was very impressed what my little canon A75 with a 3x optical zoom could do. I can’t wait to see what I get with the 12x zoom on the S2 IS.

I do believe the Angels flew at a Moose Jaw airshow a few years back as I recall. The show has been cancelled in MJaw now apparently due to cost factors. The Canadian Forces lease out the base to Bombardier for training pilots from all over the world now and do not fund the show any longer so it has come to an end after 35 years or so...

The US of A is just about fed up with this insurgent malarky... so they have developed a new attack bomber to... handle the problem:

Those are some nice shots, I look forward to more from your S2 IS,
Sure you are anxious for another air show. We just had a C-5 go down
on take off locally (Dover, DE). It broke into three pieces, fortunately
all seventeen on board survived.

Ok more pics with my S2 IS. The quality isn't as good as the actual pics because they are compressed for the web.

Some more random pics taken with different cameras.
A pic one my friends took as I was flying them out for some lunch. This is the good old 172 cockpit, the plane I fly most of the time.

Some awesome pics Daoofo. Can't wait till the arishow up here next month. I usually take 500+ pics at airshows and now with my new camera with the ultra zoom I'm very excited to see what the results will be.
