Hi, a quick question posted on the forums may save me the hassle of actually renting these lens. Does a 16mm fisheye have the same field of view as a regular 16mm lens?

Why do I ask? Well, the new Tamron 17-50mm 2.8 lens is a lens I may upgrade to (damn hanging preposition). I have the 28-75mm 2.8 Tamron but sometimes, I don't get enough wide-angle for close-up local concert photography. I rented the Nikon 16mm fish-eye and it was great on my D70. I was really really happy with the degree of wide it provided. Since the Tamron is only 1mm wider than the 16mm fish-eye, will I get a similar field of view? Will the only difference be less barrel distortion on the non-fisheye?

the fisheye will be wider. here's an example from canon's lens chart:

14mm lens, diagonal angle of view: 114 degrees
15mm fisheye, diagonal angle of view: 180 degrees
