Kodak v530 loud motor noise common?

Hi all! Just wondering...recently bought my red shimmer v530. Overall, I am very pleased with it. However, I realised that there is a loud motor noise whenever I zoom in or out. This noise is picked up very clearly when reviewing the videos taken. Wonder if it is just my camera having this defect?

I emailed Kodak support for clarification and am not pleased with the response I got: Basically asking me to try and not use the zoom function!

Anyone out there with similar prob? or can throw some enlightened light on it?

Just wanted to share that I have the exact same issue with the V530 we just bought. I was shocked when it first happened, but realize that it was only $200 and does a great job with most everything else, so, I can overlook this...

I to could over look this. I bought my digital for pictures. I have never used the movie mode on any photo camera that I have. I don't think I'll ever use the movie mode. Thats why I have a movie camera.
