Since you asked I think the 3rd one is very nice, and IMHO the other 3 are overexposed.

genece,
thanks for the input! I have a long way to go before I will call myself a photographer, but I sincerely appreciate the comment! And prompt too, an added bonus ;)

I am runnig out of time so I do not think being a photographer is within my grasp.....Lot of people think the cameras should be set at a minus exposure comp...but I believe in changing the way I meter.
They are most likely correct but my system works for me.

I'm only a point & shooter really but I think I know what genece means. I use an FZ20 & I sometimes get shots that are slighty pale & a bit flat like some of yours. Nothing wrong with the shots but they just appear a bit lifeless. Generally I use -1/3 or -2/3 exposure compensation to improve them as it seems to boost the colours. As for metering I almost always use spot metering ( I think it was gene that suggested it many posts ago) and tend to meter on several bits of the scene near the point of interest, watching the changes in the viewfinder. It doesn't always work so sometimes I bracket a couple of exposures as well to be on the safe side. Maybe these suggestions will work on the FZ7 as well.

Thank you both for your suggestions.
Genece, I believe that there are few people in this world who can hold the title of "photographer", and those people are masters of the craft and art.
PhillD, thank you for the suggestions. This weekend I tried to use exposure compensation a bit and watch my histogram, and once I get those pictures onto the net i'll try and post them.
Thank you all again for your posts, and your continued assistance is much appreciated!
