Hello everybody, nice forum you guys have.

I just got a KM 5D body as a few days ago, this is my 2nd KM, my previous camera was a Dimage Z5, which I thought I was happy with until I took a basic photo class last semester where we used Canon Rebel Digi XT's and it was clear from the get-go that my Z5 was not up to snuff and I wanted more features.

Anyhow, I am curious on what lenses to go with. To give you guys an idea I do a lot of motorsports shooting, stuff like landscapes--esp. low-light situations like sunsets and sunrises, and horse photography. I occasionally do close-ups but I don't need something so macro-dedicated. Looking for something thats going to be sharp and reliable. I am also on a budget. I'm looking to get a telephoto and something similar to the kit lens. So all in all--two lenses.

I've noticed the Tokina Twin Zoom kit for the Minolta digital's--any opinions?

Please let me know what brands/models work best for this camera for what I want to do. I'm a casual photographer, so its doesn't have to be insanely perfect. If there are any Minolta AF lenses out there that I should know about as well, please let me know!

Head on over to http://www.dyxum.com/lenses/ (http://www.dyxum.com) and take a look. They have lots of lens reviews for Minolta. As for minolta lenses look at: http://www.dynax5d.com/5d_en/guide03.html#7 for a current list of Minolta made lenses with clear marking of the technologies used in each lens.
I'm drooling over the 70-200 G (D) which unfortunately is around $1800
