I also have just got the D50. I have upgraded from the Fuji S9500. Anyone know what is the best RAW file conversion software.

I am using Nikon Capture. I don't know if it is the best, but it is definitly very good. It has given me good results. It works fast - that is, on my computer - and allows for advanced raw manipulation.

I have the same card, 1GB model. It's a great card, but I think I will be getting the Plus version with the USB connector next time.

I use an A-Data (generic) 1gig 150x SD card from newegg.com. It works great. I can get 23 pictures in a continuous row without slow down.
