The Panasonic DMC-L1's,first Panasonic digital SLR, design ethos is clearly clean, simple, functional and very 'Leica like'. There are lots of touches in the design of this camera which make it more appealing that most other digital SLRs, these include the shutter speed dial and aperture ring (on the lens) which give very quick access to manual exposure creativity and encourage the photographer to experiment more.
There are some components that Olympus E-330 and DMC-L1 shared:
-lens mount
-mirror box
-viewfinder assembly
-SSWF
-"Live MOS" sensor
Which you think is much better in than the two?
Your thoughts please.

I was hoping for In body IS .....I gave up on the 4/3s....cheaper to get the IS lenses from other companies. Just my 2 cents.

Gene, If I'm not mistaken, technically, there still is In body IS with the L1. The lens gives you mode1 which can be taken advantage of on any 4/3 body with the Leica lens. But using the Leica on the L1 gives you both mode1 and mode2. And as any panny veteran will attest to, mode 2 is much preferred (at least with the current crop of panny cameras).
In that video interview on image resource with the rep from Panasonic when asked if the Leica lens can be used on other 4/3 bodies, he said "yes" but specifically stated that it will only support mode1 on non-panny bodies.
I realize that this is probably splitting hairs on your main point I just thought it worth mentioning.

I am not sure ..I just think its In lens stabilization and only 1/2 way works with the Oly cameras because there is no communication between their camera and the panny lens.

that may very well be how it works (actually that make sense) but the point is that you have full stabilzation with the panny and only half with all other 4/3
