I have had a number of Kodak cameras and one of the features that the DC-4800 had was access to the camera's controls via USB and software on my compter. I don't know of any other camera that has that currently, and wonder if the forum community knows of any. It was most useful for remote control operation of my camera for nature photography and with wirelss USB devices on the market, even more applications could be found. Any info would be appreciated. Unfortunately, Kodak has not equipped any of it's newer cameras with this capability.

Canon PowerShot SD430 Digital ELPH Wireless ($499).It also happens to be Canon's first PowerShot with built-in Wi-Fi technology, which allows you to send photos to your PC without touching a USB cable. You can transfer photos as they are taken, or later while reviewing them in playback mode. In the future you'll also be able to send photos from one SD430 to another. Canon also throws in a wireless printer adapter, which allows you to print wirelessly from the SD430 to any PictBridge-enabled photo printer.
Aside from the Wi-Fi, the SD430 is a lot like the PowerShot SD400, with a 5 Megapixel CCD, 2" LCD display, point-and-shoot operation, VGA movie mode, and a compact metal body.
What's in the Box?
The PowerShot SD430 has a good bundle. Inside the box, you'll find:
* The 5.0 effective Megapixel Canon PowerShot SD430 Digital ELPH Wireless camera
* 16MB Secure Digital card
* NB-4L lithium-ion battery
* Battery charger
* Wireless print adapter (with AC adapter)
* Wrist strap
* USB cable
* A/V cable
* CD-ROM featuring Canon Digital Camera Solutions, ArcSoft PhotoStudio, and drivers
* 17 page basic manual + 145 page advanced manual (both printed)

Thanks for the reply - I was looking more at camera controls - focusing, zoom,shutter speed etc, from a remote computer. I have since found that the high end Canon and Nikon cameras have software for remote control of their cameras much like the DC4800 Kodak has.
Thank
