It was taken at a Mac Donald's in Milan with my new FZ30. This girl seemed to be very sad....

Which raises an interesting point (at the risk of hijacking your thread)....in Australia, there have been instances where cameras have been banned from school sporting events so that "unauthorised" pictures cannot be taken.

There have been occaasions where I have been taking photos of my own children at a public park or swimming pool and have seen an opportunity to take a picture of a total stranger....but have let the opportunity pass so as not to put myself in an awkward situation should someone take offence.

It is a sorry world we live in when a harmless act like taking a photo becomes a thing of the past.

This the first photo I feel worthy of getting an opinon on. Any tips on shooting B&W inside an 80-year old house with varied natural and artificial lighting during the day is greatly appreciated. Other photos shot in early evening to nighttime hours were too dark -- although I haven't tried out the Sunpak in there yet. A church bookstore and coffee house (Martinsburg, WV, if you'd like to visit) has recently opened in this house and the operators are interested in getting B&W photos to hang on the walls.
