Beginner Question: Black and white

Hi All
I have just recently bought the FZ 30 and am having fun. I have a question and hope that you will bear with me if it has been posted before because I am new to the forum. Is there a setting on my FZ 30 for black and white photos rather than using Photoshop? I have looked at the manual and played in the menu but haven't found anything so far. I am not sure if it is me or if the camera doesn't have that feature. Hope someone can help.

In P, A, S, or M mode (but not in Automatic), in the menus, under Rec, on page 3 of the menus, you'll find an option called col.effect. It inculdes settings to adjust the "warmness", and for B/W and Sepia.
