I currently own a Panasonic FZ1 but want to upgrade to a camera with more manual controls. I have decided on either the Minolta A1 or the Panasonic FZ20, because of the anti-shake feature. Which camera do you recommend?

I currently own a Panasonic FZ1 but want to upgrade to a camera with more manual controls. I have decided on either the Minolta A1 or the Panasonic FZ20, because of the anti-shake feature. Which camera do you recommend? As an FZ1 owner, I'd think the FZ20 would be a more natural extension for you. Compared to the A1, the FZ20 has more than twice the zoom reach (432mm vs. 200mm), even more reach than you've become used to with your own camera. The FZ has a slightly faster lens (f2.8 vs. f3.5) at full zoom, and it's actually lighter than the A1 as well, not to mention cheaper. From what I've heard about A1 photo quality, I think you'll do better at higher ISOs with the FZ20 too. However, the A1 does make better movies, I've heard it performs low-light focusing pretty well, although the FZ20 uniquely has an AF illuminator. But, as always, put your hands on both cameras before you make your final decision. Your FZ1 is a tough act to follow! :o

Thanks for the help.
The A1 has a larger CCD (2/3) than the FZ20 (1/2.5).
As sensor size affects depth of field, will I be able to take pictures with less depth or field with the A1? Is the difference significant?
Also, are the many features in the A1 useful?
