The 20D costs $ 1,119.95 at B&H. Now they're not going to be too far off the mark. That does not include tax, however.
The reason why your ebay seller is offering shipping, tax and the camera is because there is no camera. He'll want payment through Western Union and will most likely be in Romania.

phew, :o good thing... ive receive his mail from ebay haha, and its funny that ebays suggests me to pay through western union!! oh my God!! how come the scammers could do all those!! im not really that stupid, and thanks to you Rhys for confirming it, well, its from Belgium not from Ramania though, but still it asks me to pay through western union, so never mind them hahha,
anyways do you think the price of 20D willl drop for this month? and how much would it be?

You better jump all over it then if its from a reputable company.
Using the psjan code in the Search Box at B&H will get you one for $1,091.95 and thats a good for a brand new one.

That's too low to be an honest dealer. Does he use Western Union or Paypal - both the normal ways to get ripped off.

If you're in the UK and buy from the US be prepared to pay VAT at whatever horrendous rate that is at these days, import duty and other customs fees before you get your package: it will probably not turn out to be the bargain you think, and consider the hassles you may encounter if you need warranty service.

haha, well, ive been thinking about that already, im not worried bout the tax, its either they put as a gift item or, just send it as usual, anyways, im gonna move out on this house soon, and im an international student, guess they wont even know where i am moving hehe... and heard from one of my friend, he received he's laptop from states, and got like 100 pounds tax, but he just ignored it, thats like a year ago, and now, nothing happens to him, lol... so i think now its the best time for me to buy this, end of the month, im gonna move to a new place :D

$1100 USD is about the right price to pay for a 20D right now. Check my signature for a full listing of street prices for all DSLR's.

My girlfriend sent me a parcel and put a price on it for insurance purposes and the Post Office would not give it to me unless I paid tax! I had to get them to send it back so that she could bring it over when she came to see me. We decided that neither of us wanted to fund Gordon Brown's sleazy empire.
It's also worth noting that Customs opens "gift" parcels at random and charges duty and tax on what they "think" the item is worth. Now that "think" is often grossly over exagerated and there have been court cases over that exagerated worth. I can't believe they want their pound of flesh from gifts but they do seem to.
Up with rum runners. DOwn with the evil empire.
