That would be me. Great stuff Dane. I spent a very entertaining hour yesterday morning watching all of the SPM's and loved them! You coming to the DWF convention in Vegas? If so, we might bump into each other. Keep up the good work!

Looks like spam to me. Am I wrong, Dane?

Lay off dude. If you'd actually visited the site, you'd see that he's not selling anything...just producing some really cool FREE videos showcasing photographers sharing their tips and techniques. I linked to the site yesterday, because I thought the videos were interesting and entertaining. You should watch one...you might agree!

alt-f is THE MAN. In case you haven't yet, check out here (http://www.altf.com/html2/501.htm) and here (http://altf.com/blog/index.htm). I don't know how he gets his brides to submerge themselves in their wedding dresses, but he sure doesn't waste the opportunities. The man can also make pictures of the mose innane thigs look like art...

I did visit his site, and he is sellling stuff. Link to the estore or weddings.

It seems like spam to me when the message is generic with a link to a commercial site, the poster is a junior member with only one post, and we never hear from him again.

I do think the site is good; very professional. I just think if he wants free advertising he should get Jeff's permission.

I stand by my statement.

It's spam.

Now, if the person (OP) became an active member of the community, we would cut him all the slack in the world. But, it was, as I like to call it...a "drive by post".

Granted, it may have some really cool stuff and even helpful information. But, unless the OP becomes an active member and contributor, it's spam...sophisticated spam...but spam none-the-less...

I agree that it's SPAM but it apparently wasn't intended to be. Jamie invited him to post here...he just hasn't become active enough to be considered a member. I think he should come back and actually talk to us. He has some talent we could all hook onto like leeches. :D

hey everyone,

i'm here ... if you'll have me :) ...

i didn't in any way want to come across as spam. i'm sorry if i gave that impression. i wouldn't like that vibe at all.

to be honest, i had never known dcresource until i found that someone from here linked to my site (i found out in webstats) ...

anyway, I followed the trail and thought I'd offer a personal invitation to check things out. if that doesn't fly here, my bad and again, I'm sorry.

btw, unless you're a bride my sites aren't commercial. i'd love to turn a buck on 'em but for now am doing this as an experiment and to give back a bit. photographers have been so kind to me over the years, it seemed like a good idea to be good back.

it's also fun to explore so many different and varied areas of interest for photographers ... business, technique, entertainment, live births ;) ... and i hope there's more to come. i'm also a bit of a geek and into the whole podcast idea. i love that the internet has basically replaced my television :D ...

so all that to say, if you like what you see, please let me know (i can always use the encouragement) and if not, please be gentle ... or better yet, submit a better show of your own :)!

i mean no harm.

Spam or not, it's a nice site. Thanks.

Now that you have returned for a second post...

... welcome to to the Doubters Club. We get our share of fly-bys, drop-ins, and just plain spam, so anything that introduces a product or service, on the first post, gets the 3rd degree. Even Jamie couldn't save you.;)

Great wedding shots. And a competence level we would all like to achieve. I hope you continue to add to the accumulated knowlege here.
