Hi,

I have a Finepix 4700 on which the auto zoom went out. It no longer works. I'm looking at replacement. The only real criteria I have are that I don't want to downgrade features, I definitely want to keep the AA battery capability (I have a ton of electronics that use AAs and have a great stash of them), and I would like to keep the size down. I would also kinda like to use the SmartMedia the 4700 uses, but I understand if that's now ancient technology.

So... any recommendations? I was looking at perhaps the E550.

Oh, any help with getting the 4700 repaired would be great, too.

Thank you,
Joe M.

Thank you,
Joe M.that uses AA batteries, I think the Canon PowerShot S1 IS will definitely show you some improvement over the Fuji's features. 10X stabilized zoom, 3MP images, tiltable LCD. It's reviewed on this site and also at http://www.dpreview.com.
