It's time for me to hit the sack. Remind me tomorrow and I'll jump in. I have had one since December. I love it. Just wish I didn't have to spend so much time at work, so I could use it more. There are a number of threads on the Nikon dSLR forum that you can search, plus there's one going now on the feedback forum, discussing the ability to use AI-S lenses.

The super quick summary. Much better viewfinder. Better controls. Built like a tank. Very accurate meter and white balance (most situations). Significantly more detail than the 6mp cameras. Marginally more detail than the 8mp cameras, marginally less than the 12+ mp cameras. Pretty obvious, but there you have it.

Very good noise up to 800. Some degradation at 1600 that can be overcome with good technique. Up to 3200 ISO available if you just have to get the shot. Canon 5D better above 800 in relation to noise.

Forget about banding. Old news. D70's non-problem with moire is not an issue. It's just a darn good camera for less than you would expect given the huge feature set. You can look them up. On the feedback thread, I gave a link to the manual.

Good Night.
