Hi everyone,
I'm relatively new here (I browse occasionally), but I was recently in the Dominican Republic, and snapped some sweet photos over there with my FZ5. Thought I'd show everybody. If you want hi-res versions, email/pm me (the hi-res pics are far better; at this point I'm wondering if my website software compressed the pictures even further).

P.S. I'm by all means a total amateur, and claim no hint of expertise.

Thanks guys! I actually have no idea what that structure in the water is. I have higher zoom shots of it from a windy day when the water was crashing on it though; very cool. I put this one up for that accidental yawn that I captured.

Is this it?

The Astron is a huge wreck of a freighter of 131 yards (120m) length. The ship was scuttled just off the eastern coastline in Punta Cana approx. 30 years ago. Literally, the ship was torn apart in two pieces so that the bow is placed in vertical direction above water and the stern is placed on the side under water. This is the special lure of the wreck in 17,5 yards (16m) depth

Boy, that's got to be it. The superstructure is somewhat unique looking and is identical in both photos.

Was this thing scuttled to create a reef or by accident?
