sigma macro lenses,help req

I am new to digital,I am using D70s, 18-70 kit lense, a Sigma 70-300 appo,I have the chance to buy either the Sigma 50 f2.8 dg macro or the sigma 105 f2.8 dg macro,what would be the best choice,any help would be appreciated

Depends on whether you want to have a 50mm lens or a 105mm lens. The 50mm lens can also figure as portrait lens, with the 105mm lens you would need quite a bit of distance for portraits for instance. On the macro side of them, they both deliver 1:1 macro capability, with the 50mm you need to get a bit closer to the subject to achieve that. They both are good macro lenses, the 50mm being obviously quite a bit cheaper.
