A friend has been allowing me use of her 70-210mm 4-5.6 D lens. Even with a tripod the sharpness of the lens falls off at long focal lengths--180mm and above.
Does anyone know the cost of Nikon recalibrating the lens?
Can a local camera store, which sells high end cameras, be able to tell if the lens needs to be calibrated or do I need to send it off to Nikon for evaluation and calibration?
I really hope the lens is at fault and not the photographer...
