I'm looking for a good wide angle converter for the D70.

Is it true that auto metering won't work with these?

Is there any DSLR that has a lower focal length than 1.5?

Thanks.

Erland

To the best of my knowlege there are no ratiometric wide angle converters (like 0.65X, etc.) made specifically for dSLR lenses as there are for fixed lens, all-in-one, cameras. I assume you are talking about an adapter that screws into the wide end (front) of the primary lens.

There are multipliers that fit between the lens and the camera body, but no reducers (again, that I know of).

Also, I think you may be confusing aperture (f1.4 and etc.) with focal length (i.e. 35mm, 50mm, etc.).
