Hi,
I was all set to buy a Canon A85 until I read about the E18 error that all of Canon's cameras seem to be prone to.
Is this really an issue with this camera?
Anyway, can anyone recommend a similar alternative, i.e. price, and features. I also liked the fact that the A85 had a relatively long flash range compared to others.
Thanks,

Wayne

Hi,
Google for Canon E18 error. Its when the camera locks up with the lens extended, and is unusable. It seems the only fix is to send it to Canon for repair.

I really like the look of the A85, and it may be that I'm worrying over nothing.

My budget is no more than 200, and the main use would be for holidays and family get togethers, so it needn't be anything too serious.

Thanks again
