1) safe with my mom
-------------------------
My favorite of the series. Heres What I like about it. First I've never seen the baby going for a ride like that! great capture! But mostly I like the perspective, like you were squating when you took the image, you were down more on their level. The opposite of say what you did in number 2 and 3.

2) a proud mother (sorry (inexcusable) the head got cut!)
---------------------------------------------------------
The cut head doesn't bother me as much as say how you were looking down on them. . .

3) lets go home
----------------
I alluded to this in number one . . . again you are standing here and I know how hard it is to think of this because I had problems with it at first. wanna see?

those were shot with my A95 - It wasn't clear to me at first that for more interesting images that I need to be on there level - once I saw the improvement on my images when I did consider my position relative to the subject I think my images improved dramatically like say the following. . .

Here was coop all grown up here almost on his 1st birthday, laying on the ground in pakasandra, ground covering approx 6 inches deep. If I would have taken the image from a standing position it would not have been as effective or say had the impact like this one taken on my knees and hunched over.

4) a rainy early morning to the beach shot from my car
------------------------------------------------------
This is an interesting scene! I like how you captured the rays coming through the trees! it was raining huh? Shucks it would be neat to head back to this spot in similar lighting and do some silhouettes, like for instance, get out there in the middle of the pathway and shoot some individuals coming or going. . . . play around with that. . . see what you come back with! Maybe a silhouette of a person riding or running with the rays coming through the canopy . . .that sounds like a cool photo. . . ofcourse its always the ones we happen on or some how not quite do what we intended that can turn out awesome!

I hope I wasn't too harsh. . . I'm not the wisest photographer or most experienced here, those are just things that I can see and point out to you to help improve these photos. . . I'm still very much in the learning state myself

Hey Parm
Unless you guys who are so experienced tell me my mistakes how am i to know? I am just a novice trying to undedrstand a new subject

Please continue ! I learn so much! Today I intend posting many more shots and look forward to everyone's comments.

BTW the swan is a sheer stroke of luck! My brother in law and nephew and i were on vacation and when we saw this I was so amazed that I almost forgot to shoot! lucky I got these shots. I still cant believe what I saw. Later the littel one dismounted and swam away as you can see

Great Krishna. I love the first (safe with mom) and last (rainy morning). Parm's suggestion about getting down to the level of subject is a good one. (Parm - your Cooper portraits are excellent BTW.) :)

Again, just wanted to get you thinking a little more in terms of the difference between a photograph and snapshot and maybe unleash some creative juices.

BTW here's my take on "safe with mom" (just to add a little more effect):

Cropped. Tweaked the levels and added a duo-tone effect. The lighter areas are a little blown out but you get the idea.
