Hi guys very nice to meet you:) . I am from the UK and my name is Caroline
The camera that has just been stolen was great but as i wish to take my photography further, was this a blessing in disguise? (ps. my home insurance did not cover the theft:( )
Budget
I am in the UK and will spend £200 ($350) not including the memory card.
Size
I am ideally looking for a small camera, which is ideally a similar size as the f450 (this weighed 150g – this was tiny and would be prepared to go bigger, not smaller) and as the battery was rechargeable there was no need to buy expensive batteries or have the space used up in the camera for them. I was very happy with the AC Power Adapter AC-5VW which could store enough power to use the camera for two or more days.
Features
I ideally 5 megapixels will do me fine
Optical zoom is something that I want to take your advice on, as I am not very experienced but wish to learn more and wish to take this camera with me.
Image quality rating 8/10
I initially chose the fugifilm finepix because the controls looked very simple. The manual control settings were ok but it did not allow me to alter the shutter speed in low light situations. There was just a ‘night’ setting which gave me some interesting effects.
General Usage
I will be using this camera for taking small films and general photo’s. I use it a lot at night indoors in a nightclub situation where there are background lights .I would prefer not to use the flash where enough light is available. I also will be wanting to take close up pictures. I would like to be able to take action photo’s also.
I have just started to make big prints of my photo’s.
Miscellaneous
Are there particular brands you like or hate? – I really would be willing to have a look at anything that is recommended
I would like image stabilisation and something that allows me to alter the shutter speed easily. It must also have a black and white facility.
Thank you for you help
