pictures.

The Nikon 5900 was good but sometimes lacked someclarity.....the Nikon 8700 is clear but the colors are not 100% right on and needs a lot of post work.

What is the best camera for Macro product shooting in a lightbox with 1000w of lighting that is not a DSLR?

I shoot products for my business and most camers including the D50 and Olympus change the color of the product (shot by professionals, not me)

Thank you

Elliot

A Canon Powershot A610 or A620 should do very well in macro photography, if you use custom white balance that you calibrated with a white piece of paper the colours should be stop on.

is the S2 better?

If you want to use it for other things - it could be, depending on your needs. The S2 is a fabulous camera and it does many things very well, one of them being macro photography. However, if you are only wanting to do macro - save your money and buy the A610.

Ciao!
