5D or 7D good upgrade from S602Z?

Very much so would like to upgrade my Fuji Finepix camera.

Curious to know if either option would be a good upgrade.
The wife has an older 530si and has a few lens so I thought the 5D and 7D would be a cheaper way to go to save on buying new lens.

Does the 5D have good low light focus ability?

Am considering purchas of the Maxxum 7D. Called a few places & they are "out of stock". Recent ads now show the "Alpha" 7D. Are these non-USA imports without Minolta backing? ie Gray Market. Also notice that many are really pushing for Extended Warranty contracts. What's up? Would hate to be in the situation of holding the bag for $ 1000. In spite of some comments on this forum, most reviews published have been Excellent.

A post elsewhere on this forum said that Alpha is the Japanese name for Maxxum/Dynax equipment. So it is probably considered grey market which means no US warranty.
The websites of Adorama.com, Amazon.com, and bhphotovideo all claim to have some Maxxums in stock.
