My trusty Canon S400 is slowly dying on me so I've been looking for a new camera. I would really like to have:
ultracompact (definetely as small or smaller than the S400)
28mm lense and up
useful macro
zoom
secondary: 640by480 30fps video
First I thought the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX01 comes close but then I saw the announcement for the R4 which seems to meet all my requirements (except for video). Any thoughts? Reviews of the R3 are scarce and do not look good..
What is the reputation of Ricoh anyhow? They do not sell in the US, do they?
Finally, what are the chances the camera will be reviewed here if it's not sold domestically?
