nikon 18-200mm f3.5???

I played with this lens a bit in my local shop and decided to spring for one, as I need a good reach for zoo photos...I've heard only raves about its performance....

But no one has any...at least for less than MSRP...any hints? :eek: (I've seen it for under 700.00 but on BO)

I can wait the weeks for my local shop to get one...but I have a kind of itchy fingers!!!

Searching the web is your only option unless you want to pay Aus$1100 for one (and I think they are hard to get in Australia anyway).

A new, popular lens in limited supply. You do the math. Why would anyone sell for less than msrp if they can sell everything they have with very short shelf life at full price. Some can't even get them on the shelf, because all they can fill are preorders.

You may find a bargain here and there on the web, but not likely from a major player. Beware of the guys that will only sell it if you buy the cheap filter set at 3x normal markup.
