snapped a couple real quick uninspiring pics....even she can tell how amazing this glass his looking at her mug on the LCD monitor.......

me very happy...

so now i have to
a. learn to take good photos as i am new
b. learn the sb 800
c. learn the 70-200 VR
d. finish reading my exposure book....(what have i got myself into!?!?!)

here is first reaction, to wha ti call the intimidator....lens and flash...lol

Nice purchases, you're going to find that flash VERY useful! You might consider getting an insurance plan for that 70-200 :D

With the drinking shot, do you see the lens moved? you can see a ghost image of her finger above her finger, but the flash froze the photo nicely. Indeed the lens looks really nice and sharp. And the cat seems jealous!

was gunna say i didnt see it, until i looked at the other hand...'tis weird....

i brought the camera up QUICK and just snapped so, i am sure it is my doing, not letting VR sit in or i moved too quick

incidently, i looked a while ago as i put the lens away and VR was off, so it may of been off for said phoTO??

Congrats on the equipment and keeping the marriage together. Post some indoor sports shots as soon as you can. It looks like this lens is out for me, unless your wife would call mine and smooth her over. Looks like I might have to try and talk her into the Sigma instead. Wish me luck.

just got in...must shower will go thru some pics...i was playing and the wife worked the camera....she knows less then me, i gave a quick lesson to no avail tho.... i will tell you this

THIS WILL RULE ALL WHEN I LEARN MY STUFF.....PICTURE IS MUCH CLEARER THAN THE 180 F2.8 FROM EARLIER............due to the zoom she could move 3 rows closer so that likely helped

i also took off the auto iso....sometimes it would shoot at 320, 500, 720, 1600 so i turned it off and set for 1250,,,,

stay tuned in 10 mins
