I've read all the reviews for both cameras, so I'm familiar with the technical and non-technical aspects of the cameras, their advantages and disadvantages. I take a lot of pictures, weddings, outdoor/indoor scenes, etc., but especially of people, who seem to enjoy my pictures the most.

My question is for those photographers who have used both in varied situations. In your opinion, is the 20D worth the extra money? And now, the 30D is in the mix.

You'll have to ask Jamison who has both. Personally, I'd hire both and test them out together to see which is better as "better" is a very subjective thing.

yes, especially with the anticipated price drop on the used and new market.

Yea I'd say its worth it, especially consideing price drop of 20D.

If I was buying new I'd consider the 30D, the spot meter is a nice thing along with a bit deeper buffer.

Depends how high it retails and what type of money you want to spend.

i have a rebel xt and my friend has a 20D. to be honest the difference is slight. the 20D is slightly easier to use, more comfortable to hold and whatnot, but the pictures coming out of the cameras are virtually the same, neither of us can tell a difference.
