I wanted to know what people thought about this situation. It took me a long time to finally decide to get the Sony DSC-T9 but I just learned about the new Canon SD630 that is coming out in April. I basically wanted a good point and shoot camera that has good features and a slim body. What I really liked about the sony was its size and included features especially the image stabilization, however ive read a lot of reviews about how sony cameras are really bad in low light conditions, since i primarily wanted a camera that i could take anywhere like parties, bars, concerts good low light pictures would be a great plus. This is where the Canon comes in, from what I understand Canon's have one of, if not the best, reputation for cameras and their picture quality even in low light conditions. The Sd630 seems to have almost everything the Sony has except the image stablizer but supposedly better picutre quality. I really like the way the sony looks but from what i've seen of the canon its also a great looking camera. So at this point I dont know whether I should go ahead and get the Sony or just wait to check out the Canon.

Wow, that SD630 looks so sexy. Personally, in terms of design, I like the SD630 better, but the DSC-T9 is just as good also.

I'd say, get the Canon SD630. Do you know how much the sd630 is going to cost when it comes out? I'm thinking of getting a SD450 later in march. But now that I've heard about this SD630, lol, now I can't decide, but i'll probably get the sd450 anyways coz it'll probably be cheaper.

I am having the same problem. I don't know which to buy the Sony DSC-T9 or Canon SD630. Which did you buy?

I'd pick Canon over Sony anyday:

-image quality
-SD cards
