I wanna get one but I would have liked to see the released of more new lenses like: 100-300f4VR or 200-400f4VR (I know there's a 200-400f.28VR but it's too expensive and also too large and heavy for an amateur user) even a cheap 70-300VR would have been nice.

Haven't heard of a f/2.8 version either so maybe you should look again.

Big bucks too. However I saw some images recently that stacked up VERY well against the venerable 300 f/2.8 SWM.
