I saw the price of this Canon SD450 through Amazon.com and it is being sold by a store called Adorama at 275$ + 15$ shipping. I figure that's quite a good deal. But I don't know anything about Adorama. It says that this SD450 is new.

I'm going to buy this camera if it is new. And I read in this forum that Adorama seems to be an okay enough of a trustworthy company.

$275 plus $15 dollar standard shipping, to me that's wow, what a find. Normally the SD450 would cost around 350 plus tax at best buy, or circuit city. And amazon had it listed at 329 w/ free shipping. But Adorama has it at $275. Anyways, what do you folks thin? Is this new or possibly a used or refurbished one. I have my eyes set on this on this camera. How would I know when I get this camera on the mail that it is new? Is it shrinkwrapped? what should i look for?

Adorama is a relatively well know, relatively well respected company. The prices on the SD450 are probably related to the fact that it is being discontinued by Canon.

Take a look at my Thread for reputable companies.: http://www.dcresource.com/forums/showthread.php?t=14677
