Hi,
I just bought a Canon A620 and am wondering what the best SD card is to get. I have been looking at the ScanDisk 2Gb card but was wondering if I should be getting the high speed card or not.
Just wondering if the high speed card is going to be beneficial to me at all.
TIA

The Sandisk Ultra II is a very good card and will support full burst mode and give you very good read/write times to/from your PC. Costco has the 1GB for $59.99 and the 2GB for $89.99, in store or on the website. You don't have to be a member to buy from the website - but there is a 5% "premium charge".

Thanks. Would this apply to Costco in Canada? I am in Canada.

I don't see the 2GB card available in Canada, but the 1GB Ultra II is available for $79.99 CDN. You know that everything is more in Canada - beer, smokes and digital memory cards! LOL
And yes, you can buy from Costco Canada as a non-member and pay the same 5% "premium charge" as the US patrons can.
Jim -
P.S. BTW, a 1GB card holds a ton of photos and may very well be more than sufficient for your needs. Approximately 340 High SF shots from an A620 will fit in 1GB.

Just wanted to hear from anyone that is using a Sandisk Ultra II 2Gb SD card in their Canon A620. How does it work? Just want to be sure there is no compatibility problem with the two.
Thanks

While you are waiting to hear from someone with the A620 and a Sandisk Ultra II card ...
You won't have an issue as long as you don't exceed 2GB. You can go higher, but then you can't format the card in the camera - I don't recommend that approach, although people do it.
