Yep I've got one.
Make sure that you get a tripod with three legs. The two and four legged ones seem to be somewhat unreliable. :D

Just a joke, no offense intended to anybody who does own a two or four legged tripod.

Seriously I have a Velbron one that I was given as a gift about 23 years ago. it's not pro level but I don't take pro level pictures and for the use I have put it to it's been great and works as well today as it did with my Pentax in 1982.

Those would be the infamous bipod and quadrapod...;)

A decent low-cost (~$90) tripod is the Slik Pro 330 with tilt-pan head.

B&H is a good source for these.

I have also been thinking of a tripod, saw one today used but looked pretty new to me, 99.00 for a Sunpack 3300 Pro. It seemed good and solid, anyone know what the new price is or if this model is a decent one?

I just found my answer at BH Photo, 69.00 brand new. We must get into the used photography equipment business by the looks of it unless I misread the model number at the camera shop...

A lot of people seem to swear by the Bogen/Manfrotto 3021 legs. Sturdy and quite affordable. Popular ball heads are the 486 and 488 models also from B/M.

After doing some research, I think I'm going to go with the B/M 055MF3 legs and probably either the Kirk BH-3 or Markins M10 ball head.

Just make sure you get a tripod and head that will support whatever lenses you plan to get in the future, otherwise you'll wind up with a lot of wobble and soft photos. Hope this helps :)

Also, read this and see if it sounds like you, it's a good read!
