I was close to a decision on the Nikon D50 but I'm coming from two previous ultra zoom cameras, (C2100UZ and currently a Panasonic FZ20) both with IS so I'm thinking the D5 may be better for me. I shoot a lot from the saddle of a motorcycle and don't like to lug a tripod around. I know all camera have pros and cons and I don't want to start any more of those debates. I would just like to know if those of you that have the KM D5 are happy with it or are there some of you who absolutely wish you would have purchased a different DSLR? TIA

Well I'll take the lack of response as everyone is happy with their 5D or there just isn't many owners;) . All of the reviews I read from owners (and experts) gave it high ratings so I went ahead and ordered one. I need the IS since I shoot with out a tripod 99% of the time and can't afford the IS lenses in addition to the body cost of the other brands.

You made the right decision, the AS works like magic! And having free IS on all lenses is too good to be true!
KM 50mm f/1.4 + ISO3200 + AS = death of tripod;)
