My Canon IXUS V3 broke down a month ago, and I sent it to Canon for service. They said something about something wrong with the “Optical Unit” but I think it is the CCD which is having the problem. Check theses links:

Anyway, I have to shell out around US$130 to fix it. I asked for trade-in, and they gave me these model with the after trade-in price:
Canon S1 IS – US$330, store price: US$500 (This is what I will prefer to buy)
Canon A95 – US$315, store price: US$410
FYI: I’m in Malaysia, that’s why the price seem a lot higher than in the US, or is it not?

So do you think I should get it fixed, or getting it for trade-in? Or I should get it back and buy a new one without any trade-in.

Is US$130 really worth to repair it?
