A new 10D for $55 more than a new XT? [XT $744.95 | 10D $799.95]
Both B&H prices. keh wants $769 for the XT new or about 800 for a 10D in excellent condition + battery grip. . . not too shabby.
Anyway. I won't be making any rash decisions, especially before the announcement next week from Canon at PMA. But, I may be purchasing a second camera here in the near future - My girlfriend expressed interest in getting into photography but hasn't because of money reasons. It will also serve as a backup or second body in the event that I need one in the future. Hence my interest in asking this question. Other than the body size of the 10D being a plus as it is a little larger than the XT, why would anyone buy a new 10D if a new XT is $55 cheaper?
I'd like to here your thoughts on this one. . .
By the way if it was my decision, I'd buy the 20D or its upgrade [35D or 50D] for myself and let the GF use the XT - which is most likely the route I'll take.
