View Full Version : A Moment of Silence for my 80-200L...

It found a new home yesterday while I rearrange my lens lineup a bit. I have some pics to post from a new L lens (one of the sharpest I've ever used), but first I thought I'd pay homage to my first ever L lens with a few pics from two different zoo trips in '05. I'm gonna miss her quite a bit...

All of these are out-of-camera except for resizing, many of them are at f2.8...truly a "magic drainpipe" indeed!

Hey - what about me? Don't I get some bird love?

Dude - I think you've been in the house a little too long today.

Sorry for the oversight Pete. I got enough love to spread around (see edits). I just thought that Don needed it more. You see, all he has to take pictures of are ducks, while your birds have plumper {censored} and firmer {censored}.

Dang that censorship... Thought we lived in a free country! ;)

hmm thanks for thinking of me. I really do need to start hittin every chick with my business card. At least ONE has to be willing to pose....

Anyway those are some nice shots. And yes birds are evil.

What made you sell off the MD? Are you getting/did you get the 70-200 IS or are you no longer going long? If you already mentioned it in another thread I probably either skimmed it, missed it, or didn't even see it. It's also possible that I read it, absorbed it, and it fell out of my brain to make room for something else... :D
