Henrique is an aspiring actor. We took these this week with a variety of lenses. See his entire gallery here: http://imageevent.com/24peter/henriquetorres

I think the first and last images are the strongest of the set displayed here. I'd tell that boy to shave and come back. ;)
Edit:
But, then again, I've got a lot to learn.
Hey Pete - Is this another TFP set up?
Technically the images are very strong I think. I thought about what I said and it could be misunderstood. Was he a frowner? Did you approach the shoot with an idea of how to present his look in the photographs? Or do you kind play it by ear and kinda wing these? - always wondered that. Thanks for sharing - Always interesting to see your work.

Henrique was having a bit of a hard time that day. Apparently he crashed pretty bad the day before snowboarding and was in a lot of pain. He also was pretty self conscious since he'd never had photos done before. Next week I'll be posting shots of him and Lorena which was really the reason I was shooting him and he lightened up a bit once she got in the shots. Also, he's Brazilian so I think there's a little bit of the machismo thing, though I must say he was quite nice off camera. Definitely a good guy. He's only been in the US a few months.
I kind of liked the tough-guy look - more than smiles from him - so I basically said, look tough unless I tell you to smile. We ended up doing a lot of both.
For me it was more valuable experience working with guys. I find it easier to work with women but it's a whole different energy working with men. We got some really sexy shots of him and Lorena which you'll see when I post them, though I think it was more her than him. But we had fun. :)

agreed there. I felt the same way about my senior. . . he looked better just giving that normal look he had - but you know moms. . .
Really nice work, Peter...the third shot is as good as I've seen in any magazine or catalog...
But, I say get Sara back for more shooting! :D

Well truth be told, while I like Henrique and would have probably shot him anyway, as I alluded to earlier, part of the deal was to get Lorena back for a risque "Part Duex" ( http://imageevent.com/24peter/lorenafinato ) I did a bunch of shots of them together (they're a couple).
I'm working on the photos of the two of them now and will hopefully post them next week but I've got a big shoot tomorrow (Sunday) where I actually rented some converted warehouse space in downtown Los Angeles and have a makeup artist and stylist working on my model so have been kind of side tracked by that.
Sara has been MIA since her shoot. Haven't heard from her since I posted her photos though she is using them on her Model Mayhem site: http://modelmayhem.com/member.php?id=93477
