Just bought this camera was wondering if anyone is use to the best settings for taking pictures of waterfalls and mountain scapes. And getting the most out of slowing the speed of waterfalls. thanks a bunch

There is no such thing as THE BEST setting for any shot. It really depends on the amount of light for that moment and also it depends what you are trying to achieve.
I guess you want the blur motion of the water? Try higher shutter speed though if not set properly that will white out your picture. And of course, you should need a tripod. You can post some questions in Panasonic forum since there are many people with FZ30 and more experience there.
