Red eye problem - Sony T1

Hi I am interested in buying this camera very soon, but after reading reviews from different sites, people have complained of serious red eye even with the red eye reduction turned off! Also people are complaining about indoor shots and the poor flash range. I used to have a canon APS ixus and I had the same problem there.

I want a small camera so that I can take it everywhere but it has to have good picture quality.

Can anyone share their experiences or recommend other models? I have considered the optio S4i, but the T1 takes better video footage.

You know, I was worried about red eye as well, and you'd expect it given the size of the camera, but of the people shots I've taken with a flash (only about 10 in the last month, so not a lot) I am pleased to say that red eye has not been a problem. Only once did I need to do any tweaking in Photoshop. The red eye on my older Canon elph was much worse. YMMV.
