This may not be such a big deal to our friends in the USA, but today we had the USS Ronald Reagan Aircraft Carrier dock in the Port of Brisbane (Queensland, Australia). To sum it up in a few words.....very very impressive. The security surrounding this ship is mind boggling. The ammount of people that drove for hour on end to see this is amazing...i drove 1.5 hours. From a photographic point of veiw, it was to bloody big and close to get the entire ship in a good size shot.....and the fact that we could not get close enough to take those up close and personal shots. It was an exciting drive for the last 1/2 hour as security stepped up, with choppers in the sky hovering above the traffic, police at every glance on land and sea. This was exciting for me as it was the first and probably the last time i will see this monster of the worlds sea.
