Hello,
I have an S2 and I am currently enjoying the pictures I take. I went to chinese new year lion dancing the other day and found the continuous shooting was a bit slow and images blurry...but thats because the lion was moving too fast and it was indoors with low light...definitely a job for an SLR!
So i was wondering, the next best thing to do would be to get myself a high speed card, so I would like to ask for people's experience with corsair 133x SD cards and the S2. Will I encounter any problems? also should I go for the 1GB or 2 GB card?
Thanks for your help

A higher speed card will not make your pictures less blurry. It may or may not allow you to take the next photo sooner. A faster shutter speed is the way to get a less blurry photo.

Hi JLV,
thank you for your reply. just a quick question, I have been learning about shutter speeds lately and how they capture faster moving objects, what essentially does the faster speed card do?
I thought it would allow faster fps shooting in continuous mode?

Depending on your camera, a faster card may allow faster frames per second, but that has nothing to do with shutter speed. Shutter speed is how long the camera allows light to enter the camera..
Note that not all cameras can take advantage of a faster memory card.

To make a long story short... buy the cheaper card. I have been using off-brand cards for 6 years and had only one minor glitch (recovered). For your S2 anything above 60X (9MB/sec.) is faster than the buffer can transfer data in the camera so you gain little beyond that speed. It won't hurt, but it won't make a difference.
As has already been said a faster memory card will not help with blurring. I suggest you read up on manual settings, and aperture and shutter priority. That will help you get more "keepers". Just type it in to google and see what you come up with.;)
